A Cost Effective Printing Tip

Starting a new business means spending a large amount of money - and needing to save money as well. Forget limiting the number of computers, using certain software to save licenses, or having a monitor’s power settings at only 2 minutes before it turns off. Why? Simple - there is a gold mine in every business when it comes to saving money that few realize:

Printing, or more specifically the ink and paper used. More printing means more ink and more paper. The solution is easy too! First, change the margin settings of ALL documents in Microsoft Word to around .8 or .9 of an inch. This is much more useful than the default 1.25 inches. Believe it or not this will shorten your documents by 8%-12%! Did you know Word's line spacing default of "single line" can actually be smaller? Just change it as little as .05 and you can make every document 5% shorter. And of course the easiest way to save space is decreasing that giant 12pt font to something like 11. Again, it is another 5% shortening.

Less printing means less paper and ink! Exploit this gold mine for an extra boost in the company's net income by shaving numbers off of overhead costs.
